Graduate stylist Charlotte Willey is just back from working at London Collections: Men, the three-day catwalk event where top male designers showcase their work. The SS14 fashion extravaganza was sponsored by haircare brand Fudge, and it asked Charlotte to bring her Z&H expertise backstage to assist at the James Long catwalk show, where the inspiration was ‘helmet hair’, reminiscent of cycling, with super slick, shiny and clean finish.
It’s not the first time Charlotte has worked backstage, but it is unusual for her to be there without creative director Angelo Vallillo. Being on her own didn’t faze her at all. Working quickly and calmly among the flurry of superfast changes and clouds of hairspray, Charlotte wowed not only the Fudge guys, but also the event organisers and Mr Long himself.
Other shows included Richard Nicoll, Meadham Kichhoff, James Long, Christopher Shannon, Katie Eary, Lou Dalton, HOM by Jonathan Saunders, SIBLING and Kit Neale. Charlotte has shared all her insider info, so the whole team is well versed in what will be in fashion for the boys next spring/summer. If you want fashion-forward hair and to be first with style, you know where to come.
