Nottingham’s Zullo & Holland has put the club into ClubStar by enrolling all of its young stylists and assistants into the ground-breaking skills development programme and incorporating it into their training schedule. In total, five of its team are enjoying the benefits of Club Star events and education, part of the renowned Fellowship for British Hairdressing – making it the largest group from any one salon.
Owner Romano Zullo and creative director Angelo Vallillo, already big supporters of the Fellowship, were determined to extend the benefits of membership to their whole team.
“ClubStar is a fantastic programme, just what the industry needs to excite and educate young hairdressers. And making it affordable means that almost anyone can get involved,” said Romano. “We are encouraging our junior members to take advantage of ClubStar as much as they can.”
Ben Christian, Claudia Richmond, Frankie Richmond, Charlotte Willey and Amy Taylor have all signed up and are travelling to London for the events.
“Being part of ClubStar is a great experience for all of us,” said Ben, a stylist within the salon who last year made the finals of the Young Hairdresser of the Year awards. “It gives us all the chance to further our knowledge through workshops and evening seminars and is a fantastic platform to showcase our skills and build up our profiles.”
“We also get to meet the great and the good of the industry,” added Claudia. “Where else could we get that opportunity?”
Angelo is appearing on the Fellowship Stage at Pro Hair Live on 4 March.
